Students from various schools in the Capital have reached out to the general public with a message to transform the world with their small acts during this Ramadan.
Students of Shining Star International School gave Ramadan food kits packed in paper bags to motorists at traffic junctions. Principal Anita Singh said the Iftar kits in paper bags were an invitation to the general public to join the fight against plastic.
"Students from Grade 3 to 7 made the paper bags. We want the general public to unite against plastic pollution. Also, by giving Iftar kits to motorists, the students learn the Ramadan message of love and sharing. The food packets are helpful for motorists to break their fast and avoid speeding. It was a collective effort of students, parents and staff," Anita said and added all necessary precautions were taken by the school as students took to the streets.
