A family of 19, luckily survived a massive fire at their two-storey house in Al-Muraydah district of Ras-Al-Khaimah last week.

Sources in the RAK Civil Defence Department told Araa News that the incident took place on last Thursday and they immediately dispatched the teams concerned on receiving the information. 

The fire and rescue teams, ambulances arrived and found three rooms gutted with fire. 

The teams immediately rescued the 19 members and then set to extinguish the fire to prevent it from spreading to other parts of the house. 

The fire caused thick smoke in the apartments and the firefighters had to use smoke suction machines to ventilate the house.
