Fans attending the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar will now be able to apply for multiple-entry tourist visas in the UAE beginning today.
Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) issued a statement on Tuesday welcoming people to the UAE who hold a Hayya card - a personalised document required to attend World Cup matches.
From November 20 to December 18, the FIFA World Cup will be held.
ICP offers a visa application website for international Hayya card holders. They have to browse through public services on the website for ‘visa for Hayya card holders’, fill their data and pay the fees.
With the visa, World Cup fans can enter the Emirates multiple times over a period of 90 days. The visa fee has been reduced to a one-time charge of Dh100. Regular fees apply to extending it for another 90 days.
