Even though the downpour ended for most of the UAE on Sunday, more rain is expected this week.

The National Centre of Meteorology's (NCM) latest weather bulletin predicts rain on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Overall, the week will be partly cloudy, and temperatures will drop.

A NCM expert had earlier explained that the current weather is caused by an extension of the upper air jet stream from the west, accompanied by different cloud formations flowing along with a trough of surface low pressure.

In response to a question about whether this was the result of rain enhancement efforts, Dr Ahmed Habib responded: "Cloud seeding is always done whenever there are clouds that meet certain criteria and are suitable for seeding. This is done routinely in the UAE whenever it rains."

A rainbow appeared across the horizon of a beach in Ras Al Khaimah after two days of non-stop rain. In a video posted on social media, Storm Centre shows the fully formed rainbow brightening the morning sky in the emirate.

In another video, the Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office shows waterfalls gushing off mountains and valleys.

The NCM reported showers in parts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah on Sunday for the third day in a row.
