NMC Royal Medical Centre is organising a walkathon on November 9 to combat diabetes.
The medical Centre will host the walkathon in association with the Ras Al Khaimah Police and the Ras Al Khaimah Public Services Department, to mark World Diabetes Day 2018.

The walkathon is an effort to ensure that people are informed about the causes, symptoms and prevention of diabetes, and to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis.
People from across the UAE will take part in the walkathon, as will institutes and organisations, organisers said.
The International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organisation (WHO) launched World Diabetes Day in 1991, in response to growing concerns about the escalating health threat posed by diabetes. This year, the theme is ‘Diabetes concerns every family’.
