Motorists are advised to use alternate routes when possible.
Dubai Police just posted news of a car accident that's backing up traffic along Emirates Road.
The tweet was issued at 4.17pm, stating that traffic congestion can be seen along the stretch of road leading up to Maktoum Airport.
The air ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.
Motorists are requested to maintain caution whilst driving in the area and if possible, to use alternate routes to reach their destination.
