
Dubai: Many residents have already started enjoying their summer holiday, and are flying off to exotic destinations to enjoy the cool weather abroad.
Dubai’s ruling Al Maktoum family are also revelling in some down-time, with the holiday snaps trending on UAE social networking sites.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, spent a quiet time at the Danish archipelago of the Faroe Islands.
Tucked between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic Ocean, the Faroe Islands comprises of 18 rocky, volcanic islands, and is a haven for hikers and birdwatchers.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, posted a photo of Shaikh Mohammad on his official Instagram account with the caption: “Solitude helps you enjoy a better taste for life.”
Shaikh Hamdan also posted stunning views of the remote islands, which has a population of about 50,000.
