
A traveler arriving from a European country was apprehended at Dubai International Airport (DXB) for attempting to smuggle hallucinogenic pills and other illegal narcotics.
As per a report published in the Arabic newspaper Al Bayan on Friday, the individual had concealed within their luggage a total of 292 hallucinogenic pills, 5 hallucinogenic stamps, and 13.84 grams of hallucinogenic powder. Additionally, they were found to be carrying 7.38 grams of crack cocaine and 274.59 grams of crystal methamphetamine. Khaled Ahmed, Director of the Passenger Operations Department at Dubai Customs, emphasized that the authorities are diligently working to safeguard society from the scourge of illegal drugs. He further stated, "We have inspectors and officials with a high degree of competence, skills, and experience. They utilize cutting-edge inspection devices at airports and all customs points in Dubai to combat drug smuggling.
