
Emirates, the Dubai airline, said it will begin regular passenger flights to nine destinations from May 21.
The destinations are: London Heathrow Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney and Melbourne.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia will introduce full-day lockdowns and curfews across country to contain the coronavirus during this year's Eid Al Fitr holidays, from May 23 until May 27.
The number of confirmed cases worldwide has passed 4.25 million, with more than 291,000 deaths. Nearly 1.5m people have now recovered. The UAE recorded 783 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday.Emirates, the Dubai airline, said it will begin regular passenger flights to nine destinations from May 21.

These flights can be booked on the Emirates website. Travellers will only be allowed to board flights if they comply with the entry criteria and requirements of their destination countries.
“We are pleased to resume scheduled passenger services to these destinations, providing more options for customers to travel from the UAE to these cities, and also between the UK and Australia,” said Adel Al Redha, Emirates' chief operating officer.
The airline will continue to operate repatriation flights to take travellers back to their home countries.
Anyone wishing to book travel to the UAE must be a UAE national or citizen with approval from the Federal Authority for Identify and Citizenship (ICA).
The airline said it has also implemented additional measures at the airport to comply with social distancing and sanitisation.
The airline also plans to add more passenger flights to additional destinations.
"We are working closely with the authorities to plan the resumption of operations to additional destinations," added Mr Al Redha.
The resumption of these Emirates services mean passenger flights from Dubai will be operating again just before the Eid holidays, a popular time for outbound travel from the UAE.
