During an upcoming job fair for UAE nationals, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will offer 200 engineering and scientific positions.

From September 19 to 21, Dubai World Trade Centre will host 'Ru'ya - Careers UAE Redefined 2023' where applicants can register online or attend in-person interviews. Ru’ya is expected to welcome more than 15,000 visitors who are looking to find employment, networking and skills development.

During the job fair on Saturday, RTA said its objective is to recruit Emirati graduates and talent to build a database of qualified candidates ready to adopt new skills and professional work practices. RTA seeks to recruit experienced individuals to leverage their scientific expertise and professional practices.”

Strategy for emiratization

In his remarks, Athari Mohammed, director of Human Resources and Development for RTA's Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said: "Our participation in this fair demonstrates our commitment to Emiratization. Fresh university, college, and institute graduates, as well as senior Emirati leaders in various positions, attend this event."

The RTA offers its employees a work environment that promotes continuous learning and training. Besides focusing on nurturing and upscaling UAE talents through workshops, it also familiarizes them with international best practices in human development." she explained.

There are jobs available in engineering, data science, urban planning, IT security, and other specializations in rail and transportation.

"Applicants can input their details online on tablets set up at RTA's booth or opt for in-person interviews with experts from RTA's Human Resources and Development Department."

Empowering women

More than 100 leading companies are looking to hire Emiratis, according to the organisers. This year's edition includes a dedicated area for female job hunters called 'Empower Her'. Mentoring sessions and workshops will be conducted by experts who understand the challenges women face.
