No Covid PCR testing on Dubai flights for India, Pakistan passengers from today onwards

Passengers travelling from certain countries to Dubai don’t need to take a rapid Covid PCR test.

As part of an updated circular, airlines and travel agents were notified,The requirement for the rapid test in the departure airports of four countries within six hours of departure has not been specified by the authorities.

According to the circular,As of February 22,A negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours of travel is required for passengers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.A PCR test is also required upon arrival in Dubai.Until the results of their tests are available, passengers must self-quarantine.The circular does not mention the requirement for rapid PCR tests.

The flydubai website specifies that passengers travelling from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will not be required to take the rapid PCR tests.

The requirements on Emirates  website have not yet been updated.

The circular has been received by Pakistani carriers.

Passengers traveling on direct flights from Kolkata to Dubai on Emirates, flydubai, Air India and IndiGo were previously exempt from the rapid PCR requirement at the airport.
