
Fuel, electricity, and food allowances are now available to Emiratis earning less than Dh25,000 per month.
According to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the move aims to enhance social welfare and quality of life for its citizens by boosting the budget of the Social Support Programme for low-income families and increasing inflation and other allowances.
Deputy Minister of Community Development Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid said: "We will immediately implement the President's instructions regarding inflation allowances to ensure applicants benefit from these allowances. From tomorrow, citizens with a monthly salary less than Dh25,000 will be able to apply for inflation allowances for fuel, electricity, and food."
In accordance with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's directives, the Social Support Programme's budget will be raised from Dh14 to Dh28 billion.
