The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported light to moderate rain in Fujairah, with further rains recorded in Sweihan near Al Ain.

The centre also issued an amber alert for convective clouds and strong winds that may reduce visibility to less than 2,000 metres.

The NCM’s weather forecast for the rest of the day will partly cloudy at various areas of the UAE, with a decrease in temperatures accompanied with moderate winds, especially in the northern region.
Moderate to heavy rains will continue in scattered areas.

Minimum temperatures will range between 22C and 28C in coastal and internal areas, with expected highs of 31C and 38C respectively. The mountain region will witness the lowest drop in temperatures at 15C while the maximum will reach 28C.

“The relative humidity will increase during the night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas. Sea will be Moderate, becoming rough gradually by the afternoon in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea,” said the NCM.
The weather on Thursday and Friday will remain partly cloudy at times, and relative humidity will bring in a chance of mist and fog formation over some coastal and internal areas.
By Saturday, rain is expected to fall once again across scattered areas and the weather will continue to be unstable until Sunday with more showers with southeasterly to northeasterly winds of 20 - 35km/h.
