According to Abu Dhabi authorities, the golden visa validity period has been raised from five to ten years.

At the Abu Dhabi Residents Office, Mark Dorzi, Director of Operations, stated that the golden visa is now valid for ten years and offers a wide range of residency options to professionals and researchers in science and knowledge, including doctors, scientists and inventors.

A golden visa holder can sponsor their spouse, children, and parents regardless of their age, with the addition of new main categories and sub-categories based on recommendations from relevant offices, such as the Abu Dhabi Office for Residents.

Earlier in the year, the Abu Dhabi Residents Office announced the UAE government had launched the Golden Residency Program, which provides long-term residency permits without requiring a guarantor.
