
A 17-year-old boy from Kerala, southern India, tragically died after falling from the building he lived in in Ajman. Ajman Police found his body early on Monday morning and alerted his parents.
As a grade 12 student at Global Indian School Ajman, he had participated in a community event with his family the previous evening. It is unclear how he fell to his death.
The family intends to take the boy's body back to India, according to social workers. Ashraf Thamarassery, a social worker, said that they were in the process of getting the paperwork ready and completing the formalities. The body will then be flown to India for the funeral."
He is survived by two younger sisters, his father, who is an entrepreneur, and his mother, a nurse in Dubai.
Earlier this year, a 12-year-old girl fell to her death in Dubai while her mother was at work and her father was in India. Last year, a 16-year-old boy fell to his death while skateboarding on the top floor of a seven-storey car park in the Al Taawun area.
