The Sharjah Executive Council has evaluated a proposal for a 10-day celebration of the UAE's 52nd National Day. This extended celebration will encompass all cities and regions of Sharjah and will feature various activities, including parades, cultural performances, music, workshops, and competitions aimed at promoting community values and unity. The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. Last year, Sharjah hosted National Day festivities from November 24 to December 3, and the UAE National Day is observed on December 2 each year to commemorate the Emirates' unification in 1971, with employees in both the public and private sectors receiving paid holidays on December 2 and 3 to mark the occasion.
