
The UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has posted a statement on their official website regarding recent events that took place at Tiblisi International Airport.
Several Emirati citizens and residents took to social media to report that they have been mistreated at the airport and are being forced to return to the UAE.
According to the statement, the ministry is looking very seriously into the matter.
It will continue to follow-up on the situation and will offer assistance to its citizens abroad during their stay in Georgia.
The ministry called on travelers to register in the Tawajudi app to remain abreast of all travel advisories and warnings.
