To boost tourism and foster closer international ties, Turkey has announced visa-free entry for citizens from six countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a decree on Friday exempting nationals of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the US, Canada, Bahrain, and Oman from visa requirements.

On Saturday, the Turkish Official Gazette published the announcement.

With the newly established visa-free regime, citizens of these nations can now travel to Turkey without a visa.

They are allowed to stay in Turkey for a maximum of 90 days under the exemption.

Thru this initiative, Turkey hopes to enhance tourism and promote cultural exchanges with these nations, encouraging travellers to discover the country's rich history, landscapes, and vibrant heritage.

In addition to strengthening diplomatic relations, the facility is expected to boost tourism in the region.
