An accident and a vehicle on fire has slowed down Sunday morning traffic on Dubai's Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

Motorists are urged to take alternate routes to avoid long delays.

A few minutes earlier, Dubai Police tweeted information regarding traffic delays due to a multi-vehicle collision along the Al Ittihad Road.

In Sharjah, motorists traveling on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from the National Paints roundabout to Mirdif City Centre towards Dubai were caught in long queues. Congestion was also reported in on Dubai Airport Road, Al Wahda street, Mirdif and Al Nahda towards Dubai.
