The 12-year-old girl died in Ajman after being run over by a school bus. The bus driver has been arrested. It has been reported that the driver was not supervised by anyone.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Ajman Police reported the tragic incident at 3.45pm. The girl was a student at Umm Ammar school.

Police report that she got off the bus near her house and walked toward the front to get home. The driver didn't see her, so he ran over the kid.

A girl, originally from a Gulf country, suffered severe head injuries. As soon as the police and paramedics were alerted about the accident, they rushed to the scene, but the girl had already died.

An arrest has been made for the bus driver. According to investigations, there was no supervisor onboard.

Ajman Police Director of Traffic and Patrols Administration, Lt. Colonel Saif Abdullah Al Falasi, expressed the department's sincere condolences to the girl's family.

During his remarks, the officer urged bus drivers to observe safety regulations and not let distractions rule their actions.
