UAE Announces Islamic New Year Holiday For Public Sector

Public sector employees will enjoy a holiday to mark the Hijri New Year 1444, according to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
On Tuesday, officials announced that the Hijri New Year holiday in the Federal Government would take place on the 1st of Muharram 1444.
All UAE private sector employees were given a paid holiday on July 30, 2022, to celebrate Hijri Year 1444, announced the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation on Saturday.
This is in accordance with the Cabinet's decision on official holidays for the government and private sectors in 2022.
