The latest heavy rains have resulted in massive flooding in the northern and eastern emirates of the UAE, killing one Pakistani national.

In the aftermath of recent floods, Hassan Afzal Khan, Consul-General at Pakistan Consulate, Dubai, confirmed the death of a Pakistani.

To determine if any other Pakistanis have been killed in the floods, the Pakistani missions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are in touch with the authorities in Fujairah and Abu Dhabi.

"The Pakistan Consulate, Dubai, has been in contact with the police and other government agencies to ascertain more details," adding that more information would be provided shortly.
