A low-cost carrier based in the UAE capital, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced that it is launching a service to Chennai, India.

On April 27, 2022, the carrier will begin operations in Chennai.

Air Arabia's CEO Adel Al Ali said the new service between Abu Dhabi and Chennai lets travelers discover the city's rich history.

Adding this route demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with affordable, value-driven air travel from our various hubs, he said.

The new flight marks the airline's sixth destination after Calicut, Cochin, Trivandrum, Delhi, and Jaipur. Moreover, it is the carrier's 19th route since it launched service from Abu Dhabi International Airport in July 2020.
