Temperatures are due to peak at 26°C shortly after midday, accompanied by gentle breezes of up to 19kph.

The forecast for Abu Dhabi promises a similar day of clear skies and light breezes.

Temperatures are predicted to be slightly warmer, reaching 27°C in the afternoon, with lighter winds of around 14kph.

The National Centre of Meteorology is predicting fair conditions for the UAE in general, but said humidity will increase by night into Friday morning.

Night time temperatures could drop to around 18°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the course of Thursday night and the early hours of Friday morning.
