Necessary Details for Application
The re-entry permit application requires detailed information. This includes personal details, sponsor's information, and specifics about passport and residency status. Additionally, a substantiated reason for the extended stay outside the UAE is obligatory, and corroborative proof may be needed.
Application Approval
Once submitted, the re-entry permit application undergoes a process lasting approximately five days, culminating in an approval email from the ICP. Following the approval, the resident must re-enter the UAE within a stipulated period of 30 days.
Application Fee and Refunds
The application for a re-entry permit costs Dh150, accompanied by an additional issuance fee that varies depending on the duration of the resident's stay outside the UAE. In case of rejection, rest assured, the Dh800 issuance fee is refundable.
Visa Status
A critical eligibility criterion is the active status of the visa and the validity of residency. However, this rule is exempted for Golden Visa holders, who are privileged to stay abroad indefinitely without affecting their residency status.
