Nord Security data shows that demand for VPNs in Gulf regions grew by approximately 30% in the first quarter of this year compared with the same period last year. The UAE has seen a 36 percent growth in demand for VPNs, indicating more people are accessing banned content online.

The demand for VPNs in the Gulf region is growing every year. As content restrictions appear, so does the demand for VPN services.

Gulf residents use VPN to make audio-video calls through popular apps such as WhatsApp, Skype, Facetime, Discord, IMO, and dating apps.

Among other things, VPNs are used to access restricted content such as dating, gambling, pornography, drugs, and VoIP websites.
