Armenia has taken steps to make travel more accessible for tourists from the UAE by streamlining visa regulations. This mountainous country has simplified its visa requirements for Emiratis, granting UAE passport holders the privilege of visa-free travel for up to 180 days within a year.

Additionally, visa regulations have been streamlined for individuals with UAE residency visas. Sisian Boghossian MBA, who serves as the head of the Tourism Committee of Armenia within the Ministry of Economy, stated: "Citizens from more than 50 countries, including Egypt, India, Iraq, Morocco, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia, may obtain a visa at the Armenian border (on-arrival or by e-visa) if they hold a valid resident card issued by GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) member states, which includes the UAE."

The intention behind these new visa rules is to foster cultural exchange, promote tourism, and strengthen the bonds between Armenia and the UAE, as confirmed by Armenia's tourism authorities. Boghossian added, "As Armenia opens its doors to UAE tourists, there has never been a better time to explore this gem of the Caucasus."
