
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made it easier for expats from 43 countries to obtain a driving license, as they no longer need to take the mandatory driving tests. The Ministry of Interior (MoI) provides a service under the 'Markhoos' initiative, which allows eligible residents to exchange their national driving license for a UAE driving license.
This initiative not only simplifies the process of acquiring a UAE driving license for expats, but also promotes a hassle-free driving experience in the country. Those holding a residence permit can either drive with their national driving license or exchange it for a UAE license.
