Motorists faced significant delays reported in parts of Dubai during the rush hour commute on Wednesday morning.

According to TrafficDXB on Twitter, an accident was reported on E66 after Academic City exit towards Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Road interchange, causing congestion and long tailback.

Another accident was reported on D83 Al Rebaat Street before Nad Al Hammar Road intersection towards Deira

Slow moving traffic was reported on Sheikh Zayed Road near Dubai Parks and Resorts towards Abu Dhabi.

Congestion brought traffic to a crawl on the Dubai-Al Ain Road near International Academic City. Moderate traffic was also reported in Al Bharsha, while elsewhere there were delays in Al Warqa and Al Awir.

In Sharjah, heavy traffic was reported on the Al Nahda Street, Muhaisnah, Industrial Area 15 and near the National Paints Factory.
