Process to Register Your Account With RTA Online: 

If you don't have an existing online account with RTA, don't worry! You can set it up quickly by following these simple steps:

• Download the RTA app from the App Store.

• Open the app and tap on the 'Login/Register' button on the homepage. Use your UAE Pass to log in.
• If your UAE Pass and RTA account are not linked, you'll receive a pop-up notification to link them. If you don't have an RTA account, select 'Register.'
• Your personal details like full name, email address, nationality, and mobile number will be automatically entered by UAE Pass. Simply verify the details and create a username and password.
• Enter the one-time password (OTP) received on your mobile number via SMS.

That's it! Your RTA online account will be successfully registered, allowing you to proceed with the next steps. 

After setting up both accounts, you can begin the renewal process.

Step 1: Get Your Eyes Tested

Visit a nearby optician authorized to perform eye tests for RTA driving licence renewal. Look for visible signage at the shop's entrance indicating this service. Ensure you bring along the following documents:

- Your original UAE driving licence
- Your original Emirates ID

If you don't have the original documents, inquire with the optician if they accept digital versions of these documents.

Easy Access To Digital Driving Licences

Eye Test Charges: The cost is typically around AED 140, but it can vary slightly depending on the specific service provider.

Once you have made the payment for your eye test, the optical specialist will promptly update the RTA system with your test results. Shortly after, you will receive an SMS notification on your registered mobile number, confirming that your eye test results have been uploaded. Now, you can proceed with confidence to renew your driving licence.

Step 2: Easily Apply for Licence Renewal Online via the RTA Dubai App

1. Open the RTA Dubai app and select 'apply for driving licence renewal.' The following information regarding your traffic file will be displayed:

- Licence number
- Issue date
- Traffic code number
- Your date of birth

Proceed by tapping 'next.'

2. A summary will be provided indicating if you have any black points on your licence and the outcome of your eye test. Tap 'next' to continue.

3. Choose a Delivery Method:

• Kiosk: The app will display a map showing the locations of kiosk centers where you can collect your driving licence.
• Collection: The app will provide a list of locations where you can personally collect your driving licence.
• Courier: If you select this option, you will be prompted to provide your address details for the delivery.
• eDocument: For this option, you will need to provide your email address and phone number.

Make the Payment: The app will present the total cost of the service, which includes:

• AED 300 for renewing a driving licence for more than one year.
• AED 20 for the Knowledge and Innovation fee.
• Courier charges, if applicable.

You can conveniently make the payment using Apple Pay, your DubaiNow account, or a credit/debit card.

Step 3: Get Your Renewed Driving Licence

After successfully completing the aforementioned steps, you will receive a confirmation email and SMS from RTA, indicating the successful renewal of your driving licence. The entire process can be accomplished in under 10 minutes, ensuring a quick and efficient experience.
