Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Thursday received a call from the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

The pair reviewed the relationship between the UAE and France and the potential of bosltering ties across various fronts.

Sheikh Mohamed and Mr Macron exchanged views on the latest regional and global developments, and spoke of the importance of ensuring joint co-ordination and the intensification of international efforts to enhance security and stability in the region, the state news agency Wam reported.

The call came before France hosted the 45th G7 summit on August 24 to 26 in Biarritz.

The summit will address global challenges in various areas, including economy, foreign policy and protection of the environment.
