Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Police have inaugurated 14 “Safe City” centres to provide early warning and alerts to motorists and the public about fog formation and major road accidents, a statement from police said on Wednesday.
The police said that centres use artificial intelligence to combat crime and improve the operational capacity of road networks by sending alerts to the public about risks and threats.
The centres will act as early informers (alerts) to public about the threats and dangers before and after it happens and would work with the National Early Warning System.
The centre will also send electronic messages through screens on towers and mobile text messages about the warnings and formation of fog, major accidents and closure of roads.
The police also launched 358 new comprehensive online services for punishment and correctional centres’ inmates, partners and employees.
These services aim to transform the government services and streamline procedures and provide the most sophisticated services in a smart way to customers through clear, simple and easy procedures.
