The Dubai Taxi Corporation Gifted 200 Orphan Children

The gift-giving, which was held in cooperation with the Dar Al Ber Society was held at the society's head office on Sheikh Zayed Road.
On the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and the 14th death anniversary of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) gifted 200 orphan children with shopping vouchers worth Dh50,000 in its continuous efforts to help the needy people and participate in charity activities and initiative with the Dar Al Ber Society.

The gift-giving, which was held in cooperation with the Dar Al Ber Society was held at the society's head office on Sheikh Zayed Road. It was attended by orphan children and officials from the Dar Al Ber Society and DTC.

Dr Yousif Al Ali, CEO of DTC, said: "We view Zayed Humanitarian Work Day as an exclusive charitable platform, especially as it coincides with The Year of Zayed 2018 initiative declared by the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan."

"The Dubai Taxi Corporation has launched many distinctive initiatives this year in collaboration with its strategic partner Al Futtaim Motors. Helping needy children through charity fits well with the Islamic values, human dignity and civilised behaviour," he added.

"The DTC pays considerable attention to charity participations and is keen on engaging the needy people in the festive atmosphere of the holy month and Eid Al Fitr, particularly in maintaining their dignity in Ramadan," Ali said.

"We are working continuously for the benefit of orphans as taking care of the needs of orphans is one of the top priorities for us at the Dar Al Ber Society. We are happy to be involved in such a noble initiative", said Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, CEO, Dar Al Ber Society.

"We have a long running association with the Dubai Taxi Corporation where we have been conducting various humanitarian activities with them," said Hussain Al Balushi, manager, orphan department of the Dar Al Ber Society.
