The worker had died by the time the emergency team arrived at the scene.
A 28-year-old worker died after he was run over by a speeding car in Al Madam area in Sharjah. The car was being driven by an Emirati, who is in police custody. He will be referred to the traffic prosecution.
On being notified about the incident, the police rushed to the site, but the worker had already died by then.
The police have urged motorists to stick to the specified speed limits while driving.
