Twelve UAE officials, including eight ministers, will take the stage in Moscow over the next four days to offer insight on empowering communities through improved education initiatives.

The third Aqdar World Summit - being held in the Russian capital from August 29 to September 1 - will put a focus on pressing issues such as education, youth empowerment, food security, science and technology.

Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and the UAE Minister of Interior, will open the summit with a keynote address.
Aqdar day 1 sessions
After Sheikh Saif bin Zayed's keynote speech, a series of short sessions will be hosted by members of the UAE delegation.
Hussain Al Hammadi, the UAE Minister of Education will hold a session on developing the UAE education system. Maj Gen Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon, Chairman of the UAE National Service will be discussing empowerment. The Minister of State for Higher Education, Dr Ahmed Al Falasi will speaking about UAE's bid to reach space through higher education.

Mohamed Al Junaibi, who chaired the higher committee for the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi earlier this year, will reflect on the success of the event.

An ideas exchange
The first two summits have been held in Abu Dhabi. Ahead of the conference, Dr Abdul Al Salam Al Madani, executive chairman of Aqdar, said being invited to hold the summit in Moscow is a great opportunity.

“Aqdar is an Emirati summit that has become recognised globally. The fields under discussion vary between medical, legal and humanitarian, even the United Nations is involved."

Col Dr Abdulrahman Al Mansoori, general co-ordinator for the Aqdar World Summit, said the main goal is for Emirati and Russian organisations to learn from one another.

“We will share with them the UAE experience in fields like artificial intelligence, education and youth empowerment," he said.

"We will also learn how they overcame the challenges they faced while carrying out their own projects."
