Sharjah recently honored its outstanding taxi drivers for achieving a full year without any traffic violations, accidents, or passenger complaints, making them the city's "safest taxi drivers." These exceptional drivers were recognized at the Traffic Safety Awards organized by Osool Transport Solutions and Sharjah Taxi. The award is categorized into gold, silver, and bronze tiers, with drivers required to meet specific criteria, such as covering a distance of over 100,000 kilometers in the past year.

In addition to strict adherence to all traffic regulations, these drivers must prioritize passenger satisfaction and maintain a spotless record regarding complaints. Khaled Al Kindi, the general manager of Sharjah Taxi, also present at the ceremony, emphasized the award's goal of encouraging drivers to consistently practice safe driving, ultimately contributing to a reduction in traffic accidents on the city's roads.

This initiative also aims to raise awareness and educate all motorists on the importance of safe driving practices.
